Kory Shae, CEO of Border Bank, announced Northern Ag and Border Bank will join agriculture associations, corporations, governmental entities and thousands of others across the United States to recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by American agriculture on National Ag Day Tuesday, March 19. 

“Several of the United States producers are located within markets Border Bank serves. We appreciate the significant contributions they provide to our economy and quality of life at both the national and local levels. It is indeed an honor and privilege to partner with our producers to help ensure their success; and we take this moment to publicly acknowledge and celebrate them,” said Shae.

Northern Ag, the crop insurance and commodity marketing division of Border Bank, has been supporting local farmers and ranchers since 2006 and officially became part of Border Bank in January 2023.

“National Ag Day isn’t just one day out of the year for Northern Ag - it’s every day. Some of our team members at Northern Ag are farmers; we live and breathe it. We understand the industry and what it takes to create a successful safety net, encompassing both crop insurance and price risk management,” said Jody Miller, Northern Ag’s President. 

To celebrate National Ag Day March 19, the public is invited to attend open houses at the Northern Ag offices in Thief River Falls and Roseau; and at Border Bank branches located in Thief River Falls, Roseau, Greenbush, Middle River, Clearbrook, Badger, Roseau and Baudette. Refreshments will be served.

Border Bank was established in 1935 and has two branches in Fargo, North Dakota, and nine branches in Minnesota: Coon Rapids, Greenbush, Thief River Falls, Middle River, Badger, Roseau, Baudette, International Falls and Clearbrook. Northern Ag, an insurance agency providing crop insurance, commodity marketing advisory and brokerage services, was acquired by Border Bank in January 2023.
