Border Bank Announces Recipients of the 2020 Cultivate Awards

Patty Reuter, V.P. and Retail Manager at Border Bank in Coon Rapids and Danielle Berg, Credit Administrator for Border Bank, were selected as the recipients of the 2020 Cultivate Award. Reuter and Berg were recognized at an all staff meeting this week for their exceptional service provided to teammates and customers.

“Border Bank’s Cultivate Awards program is a way to recognize those team members who provide exceptional experiences for their customers, coworkers and communities. It is our team members who bring our culture of service to life each day and we are thrilled to honor those who make Border Bank a great place to work and do business with this coveted award,” said Steph Melgaard, Retail Banking Director.

Patty Reuter

“Patty’s positive attitude gets us through any challenging times; and, she is always making Border Bank a fun place to work,” said Erik Hegg, Bank President.

“Patty’s strength in connecting with and serving others is evident in all she does. Sharing best practices and ideas, showing genuine care, and bringing a little fun to each day are just some of the things Patty is known for by Border employees and customers alike,” said Melgaard.

“I am overwhelmed to be recognized for doing work that I find so fulfilling and to work for a company that allows all of this to happen,” said Reuter.

Danielle Berg

“This is a fantastic and well-deserved honor for Danielle. Her positive attitude and smile are infectious, and she consistently goes above and beyond to support her colleagues,” said Joseph Ulwelling, Chief Lending Officer.

“Danielle has quickly made herself an invaluable and well-respected member of our team at Border. Her exceptional knowledge, clear communication and seemingly super-human organization provide a consistently stellar experience for her co-workers and, in turn, she enables them to best serve their customers,” said Melgaard.

“For years, I’ve heard about the great work environment at Border Bank and decided to see for myself. Border Bank has far exceeded all my expectations and has truly become one of the greatest places to work. I could not be more honored to accept this award and am grateful for the Border family. I’m excited for what the future holds and cannot wait for the many years to come. Thank you, Border Bank, for this recognition. This award means the world to me,” said Berg.

To recognize and celebrate their contributions to Border Bank, Reuter and Berg were each presented a crystal trophy and a $1,200 gift card to be used to fund an experience or adventure for themselves and their families.
