Kory Shae Promoted to Chief Business Officer

David L. Felch, Chief Executive Officer of Border Bank, announced Kory Shae, Business Development Director, has been promoted to Chief Business Officer.

Shae earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in finance from Moorhead State University, and his Master of Business Administration from North Dakota State University. He has twenty years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily relating to commercial banking.

“Kory is a very talented and visionary member of the Border Bank team. He is a natural fit for this position because he is continually building relationships and finding ways to help our commercial customers be successful – it’s just part of his DNA.  He will continue to focus on building relationships, in addition to seeking out other business opportunities that align with the bank’s overall strategic goals. He is a genuine friend to everyone, a strategic thinker and not that bad at golfing,” said Felch.

“This promotion is a direct reflection upon the people I have the privilege of working with every day. I pay homage to the teams at all of our branches who have collectively grown the bank into a successful financial organization, one that our customers trust as their financial partners and friends. I thank the leadership at Border Bank for this new opportunity, for cultivating a positive culture and for providing opportunities for our employees to advance in their careers,” said Shae.

Shae and his wife Kristi live in Fargo, North Dakota, and have one son, Carson. Shae enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, lake time, and hunting with his son.

Border Bank was established in 1935 and has two branches in Fargo, North Dakota, and nine branches in Minnesota: Coon Rapids, Greenbush, Thief River Falls, Middle River, Badger, Roseau, Baudette, International Falls and Clearbrook.
